Frank M. Doyle was a leading Orange County developer in the 1960's and 1970's. Responsible for building homes , condominiums and shopping centers throughout the community. In 2002, his wife Gertruded "Trudy" Doyle honored his memory by making a gift of $1 million form the Doyle Family Charitable Trust to the Orange Coast College Foundation to insure the completion of the Frank M. Doyle Arts Pavilion. In total, over $2.5 million in private donations were received for the Frank M. Doyle Arts Pavilion. Additional funding for the building was provided throught Measure C funding approved by the voters of the Coast Community College Distrist in 2002. On behalf of Orange Coast College and the Orange Coast College Foundation we extend our gratitude to Trudy Doyle, the Doyle Family Charitable Trust, the Associated Students of Orange Coast College, the estate of Margaret "Maxine" Andrews, the Ebel Club of Newport Beach and the hundreds of other donors and volunteers who made this landmark project possible. |
