Stephan Balkenhol's sculpture "Lady in the Red Dress" intriqued me due to it's rough texture. As an artist I tend toward the polished, smooth well defined detail. The contrast of this piece to my own work has lead to contemplation of technique styles. I wonder if I would be capable of creating such a piece.

I do see this piece as completed, although I am not sure I could have stopped working had it been my creation.
